Screenwriter
Ariane Hahusseau
Notre
histoire
Born in France, Ariane grew up all over the world in more than ten countries. After studying literature at King’s College London and the Sorbonne in Paris, Ariane graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles with an MFA in Screenwriting. If period drama is her favourite genre, Ariane’s dark sense of humour naturally leads her to black comedies that focus on rejoicing themes, like death! Pitched at the Cannes Film Market, Ariane’s historical drama (Nicholl Fellowship quarter-finalist), THE UNFINISHED SONATA, was optioned in 2022 and is currently in pre-production with James Foley attached to direct. After writing a psychological horror feature with writer-director Erin Vassilopoulos (SUPERIOR), she was recently hired to write the adaptation of the best-selling British novel A THOUSAND PAPER BIRDS by Tor Udall. Ariane is based between Los Angeles and France.
