Ariane Hahusseau

Born in France, Ariane grew up all over the world. After studying literature at King’s College London and the Sorbonne in Paris, she graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles with an MFA in Screenwriting. If period drama is her favourite genre, Ariane’s dark sense of humour naturally leads her to black comedies. Pitched at the Cannes Film Market, her historical drama THE UNFINISHED SONATA had attached director James Foley (GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS) until his untimely passing. It is now in development with producer Henriette Wollmann at Celsius Entertainment. The psychological horror feature she co-wrote with writer-director Erin Vassilopoulos (SUPERIOR) is in pre-production with producer Brad Zimmerman (CHRISTY, THE OUTFIT) and set to shoot in 2027. Ariane was recently hired to write the adaptation of the best-selling British novel A THOUSAND PAPER BIRDS by Tor Udall. She is based between Los Angeles and France.
